This weekend, April 26 - 27, is the 4-Star April Open at the WTTC -- with over $7000 in prizes. First prize in the Open event is $2,500. Come see some of the best table tennis in the world being played right here in Pleasantville. Top players include three of the top 30 players in the country, these 3 in the top 10:
  • Bob Chen (from China) would be ranked #2 if he were American
  • Kai Zhang (from Pleasantville H.S., the WTTC, ranked #5)
  • Damien Provost (ranked #8)
The complete list of events, including starting times of age events for 14 & Under & 40 and Over, can be found on the club's website: www.westchestertabletennis.com. The registration form is on the website as well as at the club. You can register online, or by calling anytime during club hours -- 914-741-0738-- and pay when you arrive. Space permitting, you can also register at the door. The WTTC is located at: 175 Tompkins Avenue Pleasantville NY 10570.

For those who cannot compete, come and watch! For a $5 spectator charge, you are guaranteed some spectacular, nail-biting matches played among some of the best table tennis players in the country. For those who do compete, there will be no spectator charge for players (of either day) or their immediate families.

Also newsworthy, please note that the WTTC launches its daytime program for players 50+(or anyone else who wants to play) this coming Thursday, April 24 from 10am - 3pm. The club will also be introducing training camps this summer, including one that combines golf and table tennis. Details to follow in upcoming blogs and, in the meantime, can be found on our website.
