Mount Pleasant Library: Roof Update August 6, 2012

Up-to-date information on the Library's roof replacement project.

Update August 6, 2012

The Main Library is still closed for construction.

During air testing last week hard asbestos was detected. Our environmental company is working with the contractor to develop a plan of action. We will not be re-opening the Library until a clean-up has been completed and subsequent air testing shows no asbestos.

We do not have a timeline yet. We will be updating this blog on Thursday, August 9 when we expect to have more information.

Hours of operation at the Branch Library have been expanded. They are:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 10-8pm
Friday: 10-5pm
Saturday: 10-2pm

Update August 4, 2012

The closing of the Main Library, and the extended hours of service at the Branch Library, will continue through the week of August 6.

We hope to be able to announce a re-opening date later in the week. Please check back for updates.
