Izzarelli Thanks Supporters and Concedes Loss to Galef
In life, winning elections is a little bit like finding love. When it is right, it happens and timing is everything.
It is not my time yet to lead the 95th Assembly District, and I congratulate Sandy Galef on another term.
I am pleased and proud of the campaign that we ran from our side.
I am grateful to have had the support of both the Westchester and Putnam Republican parties and the New York State Conservative Party, and to have been endorsed by New Yorkers for Growth and Log Cabin Republicans.
Our campaign received statewide recognition from the Empire Center for New York Policy and Harry Wilson for its fiscally conservative approach to solve New York’s complex budget problems.
I am also proud of the fact that we ran an “issues oriented” campaign and raised awareness of constituents on important issues, such as repealing the Triborough Amendment and modifying the “ability to pay” provision of compulsory binding interest arbitration.
These are important issues that deserve attention in the next legislative session.
I am thankful to all of our supporters and proud to have offered a choice on the ballot yesterday.
