Briarcliff Rotary Program: "Hypnosis 101" Presentation Holds Audience Spellbound

Dr. Bob Pargament held the packed audience spellbound with his riveting presentation on "Hypnosis 101" on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at the Briarcliff Library.  The presentation was the latest in the monthly series on "Preventative Health and Awareness" series of the Rotary Club of Briarcliff Manor.

Dr. Pargament explained lucidly the basis of hypnosis, and how it could work to effect behavioral changes, such as cessation of smoking, weight loss, and test taking anxiety.  Indeed, one member of the audience was living testimony:  As a result of a hypnosis session eight years ago, she stopped smoking, and has not touched a cigarette since then!  Dr. Pargament invited, and answered questions from the audience unreservedly.

The Rotary Club of Briarcliff Manor thanks Dr. Pargament for this illuminating presentation on a little-understood field of mind-body connection.  If you have suggestions for topics or speakers on any aspect of health and awareness, please contact Rtn.
