Your Weekend: Help Build a Lego Menorah; Last Weekend for Farmers' Market

You can head to the county center this weekend to see local performers in "The Nutcracker."

It's hard to believe it's the last weekend for the Pleasantville Farmers' Market this season. Also this weekend, check out some of the great holiday events around the villages!

LEGO Menorah Build

Where/When: on Sunday, Dec. 18 from 3 to 5 p.m.

Why go: Help build the world's tallest LEGO menorah in time for Hanukkah. All ages are welcome to join in the fun. Admission price includes a light dinner, drinks, lego building time and the lighting of the chanukiyah. RSVP to 762-6396 or education@csibriarcliff.org by Thursday, Dec. 15.

Holiday Sing for Seniors

Where/When: multi-purpose room on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 9:30 a.m.

Why go: Briarcliff Manor kindergartners will be hosting a special concert for the village's senior citizens. Stop by to enjoy holiday songs and refreshments.

Why go: Kids ages two through eight can enjoy breakfast, a visit from Santa Claus and entertainment by Annie & The Natural Wonder Band. Sign up deadline is today, Dec. 14. Register at .

Pleasantville Farmers' Market

Where/When: Memorial Plaza on Saturday, Dec. 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why go: It's the last weekend to stock up at the outdoor Pleasantville market! Grab your holiday meal ingredients, including fresh produce and meat, cheese, poultry, bread and more.

133 Bells to Celebrate Christmas

Where/When:  on Sunday, Dec. 18 at 4 p.m.

Why go: The church's Emanuel Ringers will be joined by the Katonah Celebration Ringers for a concert in celebration of Christmas—totaling 133 bells. Donations will be accepted and 100 percent of proceeds at this annual event will benefit Charity: water, which funds water projects in developing countries.

Pricing: Free; donations accepted

Where/When:  on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 12:30 p..m. and 4:30 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 18 at 2 p.m.

Why go: This holiday classic and Westchester Ballet Company annual production features a mix of Westchester performers——and professionals from The Washington Ballet.

Pricing: $20 adults; $14 children ages two to 10 and seniors ages 60 and up in advance; $25 for all at the door.

Haven Holiday Tasting Menu

Where/When: on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m.

Why go: 25 percent of proceeds from this special holiday tasting event will benefit the 's Hudson Valley branch. Enjoy a holiday-themed six-course menu from that includes vegan-friendly puree of roasted chestnut soup; grilled duck or butternut squash ravioli; jumbo lump crabmeat "popover" or grilled porcini; seared yellowfin tuna or roasted beet and potato gnocchi; braised short rib of beef or Asian-smoked tofu; plus dessert. Where/When: on Friday, Dec. 16 from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Why go: Bring home your own holiday baked treats while enjoying a pizza dinner in Pleasantville. This event is for grades one through four.

Pleasantville Children's Center Community Holiday Party

Where/When:  on Friday, Dec. 16 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Why go: Preschool is sponsoring an evening of crafts and snacks for the kids, a visit from Santa Claus and a magic performance by Danny Magic.
