Valhalla's Frank Vincent Buschini Sr., 84

Buschini served in the U.S. Marines and volunteered with the Valhalla FD.

Frank Vincent Buschini, Sr, 84, of Valhalla, New York passed away peacefully on Thursday May 23, 2013 at White Plains Hospital.

He was born in White Plains, New York to Flori and Irena (Chiappa) Buschini on July 1, 1928. He graduated from White Plains High School in 1947.Sixty One Years ago July 29, 1951 he married Nancy Lou Risher at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla, NY.

He is survived by his devoted wife Nancy and his three children, Maryanne (John) Odell of Malvern, PA, Frank (Donna) Buschini of North White Plains, NY and Teresa (Marshall) Condon of Riverside, CT. He is also survived by six grandchildren - Jacqueline and Robyn Buschini, Christopher and Benjamin Odell and Alexander and Matthew Condon. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Jamie Lynn Buschini in 1982. He was also predeceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

He retired as District Sales Manager for The Toro Company in 1995. He had the opportunity to travel widely. He served in the United States Marines as a part of the Underwater Demolition Crew from 1946 - 1951. He was a member of the Valhalla Independent Fire Company and the Valhalla American Legion. He loved his dogs and enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all golf. His annual "Venison Dinner" was a popular event attended by friends and family members. 

Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Monday, 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Tuesday, 10 AM. Interment, Mt.Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Rosary Hill Home in Hawthorne, NY or to a charity of your choice.
