BRIARCLIFF: NO LEAF PICKUPS?

"Leaves, Leaves, Leaves..." says the Village Manager in his most recent email.  Yet, it is November 18 and the leaves in our section of the Village have been picked up exactly once all Fall.

This is an unacceptable level of service for our Village.  Our landscapers are coming weekly.  The piles are getting larger and larger.  Is there a worker stoppage or strike we are not being made aware of?

Leaves should be picked up weekly at every Village address beginning in early October and up to the end of November.  Any lesser schedule is unacceptable.

To add insult to injury, the Village inspector has found the time to make the rounds to issue warnings and summons.

The DPW website has no published schedule for leaf pickup.  Why?  Do they not have a plan?  Do they lack the man-power or equipment to get the job done?  Is there a strike or labor action we are unaware of?  The Village Manager and Inspector both seem to have some extra time.  Maybe they can develop a schedule, publish it, and then jump on a DPW truck to pitch in to get the job done - instead of sending emails and issuing warnings and violations.
