Questions for Mr. Wasserman, BOE Trustee

Dear Briarcliff Manor School District Community:

On May 15th, Mr. Wasserman sent an 11-page letter to
the Briarcliff School BOE and the School Administration.
The subject line of the letter was “Violations of Law with
Respect to Budget Vote.” This letter can be FOILED
through the district office.

Mr. Wasserman alleges that the BOE, members of

the BOE, the Superintendent of Schools, the Assistant
Superintendent of Schools, and the High School Principal
have used “public funds and school district resources to
distribute materials designed to solicit favorable votes for
the proposed budget.” He claims that the information you
received explaining the budget was unlawful. Also cited
in this letter were alleged violations due to high school students
producing a video on how they felt about possible cuts in
programs due to budget constraints.

Mr. Wasserman has retained an attorney. This attorney
has contacted Mr. David Shaw, the Briarcliff School District
Attorney.

I am a taxpayer. You are a taxpayer. Mr. Wasserman

ran on a platform of, among many things, to keep your
taxes lower. What is Mr. Wasserman’s agenda? Will the
community be paying for legal fees and settlements to

Mr. Wasserman? Ask Mr. Wasserman what his plan is.

The BOE President asked him at a Board meeting to rescind
the 11-page document. To date, Mr. Wasserman has not.
