Seeking Volunteers for Pleasantville Community Spring Clean-Up Day!

Pleasantville folks, help clean-up your neighborhood and help make our village look spic and span!

This Saturday, April 28, 2012 has been designated as SPRING CLEAN-UP DAY in the Village of Pleasantville. Please join your Park Department’s efforts to “clean and green” downtown Pleasantville this weekend.

This is a great way for volunteers of all sorts to give back to your community and we are hoping for a great turnout!

Meet up: at the gazebo at 9AM for assignments and gear (gloves & bags). Clean-up will end at NOON.

Please dress appropriately: Light colored jackets or T-shirts (better visibility), NO shorts, closed shoes only (no sandals).

Who can help?: Everyone! But children under 14 must be accompanied by parent(s) or guardians.

Please spread the word!

See you at the gazebo!

I hope they clean the area around the Pleasantville exit from the Saw Mill. It looks awful. Plus it is the gateway to our town. Sad to see so much trash and the village not taking care of it.

@John, I understand your frustration about the trash - I have noticed it myself. Instead of blaming the DPW for not cleaning it up the real issue is with the people who throw out the trash in the first place! I'm not sure if the exit is village or state or federal land as that may decide who is in charge of cleaning it up. I've forwarded your comment to the DPW. Will you join us on Saturday to clean-up downtown Pleasantville?
