Go green this Halloween! PleasantvilleRecycles’ Spooktacular Halloween Costume Swap will help families save money, reduce waste, save on transportation and get rid of clutter.
Look in your closets and find all those old, gently used Halloween costumes the kids have outgrown, and bring them to the swap. Go home with something new for your kids to wear this year.
PleasantvilleRecycles will also accept decorations and other Halloween paraphernalia (in fine condition only).
The Spooktacular Halloween Costume Swap will take place on three consecutive Saturday mornings in October (October 6, 13, 20) from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Memorial Plaza gazebo (across from the Pleasantville train station).
The swap is free and participants are asked to bring their own shopping bags.
“Participating in a swap sends a positive message to children about the importance of reusing and recycling materials,” says PleasantvilleRecycles Member Christin Simon Ogryzlo. “And it’s fun!”
All leftovers will be donated to charity.
PleasantvilleRecycles’ Spooktacular Halloween Costume Swap is being held in conjunction with National Costume Swap Day (Saturday, October 13, 2012).
