Used Shoe Collection in Pleasantville

Check your closet! Do you have any old shoes you don't need any longer? As long as they're in decent shape (no holes, tears, or mildew, please!), the nonprofit Stamford Animal Rescue (STAR) would love to have them. 

This is a win-win-win-win situation. 
* STAR will pass the shoes on to Shoebox Recycling, and receive much needed funds in return. 
* Shoebox will refurbish them and pass them on to people in need. 
* STAR will use the funds to feed and provide medical care to animals. 
* The shoes will be kept out of the waste stream. 

Drop your old shoes in the bin on the side porch of 104 Broadway (corner of Willow Street) in Pleasantville.

The collection will end on August 31.
