Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: Damaged Lamp Post; Injured Skunk

The following is from the police department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the  from May 28 — June 3, 2012.

Sunday, June 3

7:19 a.m. — Police received a call from a Farm Road resident reporting one of her outdoor lights had been damaged overnight. Police reported the lamp post was also damaged. The woman said she felt her light had been targeted.

Friday, June 1

11:34 a.m. — Police received a 911 call reporting a tree down on Elm Road. The was notified.

9:03 a.m. — A Macy Road resident reported seeing an injured skunk. Police and Ossining Animal Control responded to the scene and captured the skunk.

Thursday, May 31

4:30 p.m. — Police received a report of a truck driving erratically on Long Hill Road East. Officers located the vehicle on Sleepy Hollow Road and gave the driver a verbal warning.

2:22 p.m. — A Briarcliff Manor resident reported her bank informed her someone had attempted to open bank accounts in her name, using her Social Security number. Police filed a report.

Wednesday, May 30

6:27 p.m. — Police received a 911 car reporting a two-car accident in front of the 1250 Pleasantville Rd. shopping center. Responding officers reported there was minor property damage, but no injuries at the scene. The two drivers exchanged information.

Tuesday, May 29

5:47 p.m. — A Hickory Road resident reported there was a female solicitor going door-to-door in the area. Police reported the woman was working for a non-profit organization and did not do anything illegal.

5:10 p.m. — A woman called police and stated she had seen a suspicious vehicle in her neighborhood earlier in the day and saw the same car in the parking lot. Police reported the incident for the record.
