Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: Wallet Stolen; Harassing Texts

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the Briarcliff Manor Police Department from Dec. 17 to 21, 2012.
Friday, Dec. 21
1:57 p.m. — Police received multiple calls reporting a transformer fire on Quinn Road.

Thursday, Dec. 20
3:05 p.m. — A resident reported that while he was playing basketball at the Youth Center, someone had entered his car and took his wallet. Police said there were no witnesses or suspects.

11:08 a.m. — A Stafford Street resident reported his basement had flooded. The Briarcliff Manor Fire Department was dispatched to the scene.
Wednesday, Dec. 19
2:10 p.m. — A Briarcliff High School student reported receiving harassing text messages. Further information was not publicly available given the age of the students involved.
1:55 p.m. — A woman notified police that she received a phone call from someone who stated she worked for Con Edison and needed to install a gas meter at the residence. The caller told police her home didn't need a gas meter and she found the call to be suspicious. Police are investigating the incident.
