Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: Fighting Dogs; Dine-and-Dash

The following is from the police department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the Briarcliff Manor Police Department from July 22 — 28, 2013.

Saturday, July 27

10:24 a.m. — Police received a report of dogs fighting at the field behind the Atria. By the time police arrived, officers said the fight had ceased. The caller told police a second dog was off leash and attacked his dog. Police tracked down the owner and dog and confirmed the dog had all its updated shots.

12:25 a.m. — The manager of the Landmark Diner called police and reported four "unruly" patrons had left without paying for their meal. Police tracked down the suspects, who agreed to pay without further incident.

Thursday, July 25

12:22 p.m. — A Central Drive resident reported someone had damaged his brick light pillar. He stated it appeared as if someone may have backed into it with a vehicle.

10:50 a.m. — A North State Road doctor's office reported to police receiving a suspicious letter from a client. The letter was passed along to the detective for investigation.

Monday, July 22

Police received two reports from Schrade Road residents of damage to their vehicles. Read more about the alleged crimes here.
