Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: High School Student's Wallet Stolen; Mailboxes Damaged

The following information was supplied by the police department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the  from Jan. 30 — Feb. 5, 2012.

Sunday, Feb. 5

11:24 a.m. — Multiple mailboxes on Willow Drive were reported damaged.

9:48 a.m. — Multiple mailboxes on Apple Lane were reported damaged.

9:03 a.m. — Multiple mailboxes on Central Drive were reported knocked down.

Saturday, Feb. 4

5:18 p.m. — A Birch Road resident reported the home's mailbox was damaged.

8:09 a.m. — A patron of a South Highland Avenue car wash reported he left his iPhone in the front seat of the vehicle as the car went through the wash and was unable to find it afterward. Police responded to the scene and filed a report. Later, police were contacted by car wash employees whos tated the phone was located at .

7:38 a.m. — Multiple mailboxes were reported knocked down on Birch Road over the weekend.

Friday, Feb. 3

6:18 p.m. — A Sleepy Hollow Road reported his mailbox had been damaged.

Thursday, Feb. 2

4:25 p.m. — A man reported returning to his vehicle parked at and stated he found snow plow marks on the rims and scratches. The incident was noted for the record.

3:52 p.m. — A customer called police and reported a vehicle was parked in a handicap parking space without the proper tag displayed. An officer went to the scene and noted the parking spaces were not clearly marked.

Wednesday, Feb. 1

11:09 a.m. — A resident reported there had been suspicious activity on her checking account. The case is under investigation by the detective.

10:55 a.m. — Police stopped a vehicle on Route 9 and arrested the operator for driving with a suspended registration and without a New York license.

Tuesday, Jan. 31

4:42 p.m. — Police stopped a vehicle on Route 9 and arrested a 29-year-old Ossining man for driving with a suspended car registration and driver's license. He was due in court Wednesday.

2:36 p.m. — A South State Road resident reported her mailbox and solar lights on her fence had been damaged. Police filed a report of the criminal mischief.

Monday, Jan. 30

12:35 p.m. — A patrol officer reported multiple mailboxes were damaged on Brookwood Drive.

9:03 a.m. — A resident called police and reported her daughter's wallet had been stolen at . The woman said the wallet had been recovered in the boy's bathroom, but a bank card and house key were missing. She said the card was canceled and did not appear to have been used and the school was investigating the missing key. A report of the alleged larceny was filed.
