Briarcliff Manor Residents Asked to Weigh In on Ossining Police Consolidation
Town Supervisor of Ossining Susanne Donnelly said in her update letter that she is seeking feedback from Briarcliff Manor and Ossining town residents regarding the the Town of Ossining's consolidation of the Police Department.
More than three years ago it was determined that it was in the best interest of the taxpayers of the Unincorporated Area to consolidate their Police Department. The contract was a four-year contract with the Westchester County Department of Public Safety. The Town of Ossining is now releasing a Request For Proposal (RFP) for the next contract to be delivered to our the Villages of Ossining and Briarcliff Manor, as well as Westchester County.
Supervisor Donnelly said the Town has not received any complaints about the services or response times. They have gotten praise on the attentiveness of officers to Town concerns.

The RFPs are due back no later than June 30th, 2014. At that time the reports will be reviewed by the Board and will posted on the Town's website. A hard copy will also be available at the Town Clerk’s office, first floor of 16 Croton Ave.
This will be a major agenda item at the July 15th, 2014 Town Hall Meeting. The Town wants to hear from the residents of the Unincorporated Area. Please email town Supervisor Susanne Donnelly at sdonnelly@townofossining.com with opinions and comments concerning this matter.
