Briarcliff Woman Charged with Aggravated DWI

A breath sample showed the woman's blood alcohol content was well above the legal limit, according to state police.

A Briarcliff Manor woman, who police said was driving erratically, was arrested in Dutchess County over the weekend.

According to a statement from New York State Police, Dutchess County 911 alerted area law enforcement to be on the lookout for a vehicle being driven erratically in Fishkill Sunday evening.

State troopers from Wappinger reported stopping the 51-year-old village resident's vehicle at about 5:48 p.m. The woman provided a breath sample, which yielded a .18 percent blood alcohol content result (the legal limit is .08 percent), police said.

She was arrested and charged with misdemeanor Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and cited for alleged traffic infractions.

She is due in Town of Fishkill Court on October 8.
