A truck and several cars collided near Pleasantville Road at about 4 p.m., according to news reports.
One driver is dead.
According to News 12, the driver of a tractor-trailer lost control and swerved through the guardrail into southbound traffic, hitting two cars.
An accident also blocks the ramp from the Taconic Parkway to 9A, according to the DOT.
Route 9A remains closed at 9 p.m. as the investigation continues. Northbound drivers are being diverted to alternate routes via Route 117.
