Pleasantville Teen Arrested for Assault at Train Station

A 17-year-old Pleasantville resident was arrested yesterday and charged with assault, according to police reports.

Pleasantville police reported being approached by a youth and his father at approximately 9:20 p.m. on Sunday at the Pleasantville Metro North train station. The alleged victim, a 15-year-old Hawthorne resident, told police he had been punched six or more times in the face and stomach by the Pleasantville suspect sometime between 8:55 and 9 p.m. that night.

The youth told police he did not know why he had been assaulted in the station's breezeway.

The complainant was brought into police headquarters, where he was given an ice pack for his face. Police noted it appeared he had a red mark and some swelling over his left eye. Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) police were notified of the incident.

The following day, Monday, Feb. 20, the suspect came into headquarters with his mother at 11:58 a.m. Pleasantville police contacted MTA police, who arrested the teenager in Pleasantville for assault and transported him to their headquarters.
