Police: $10K in Jewelry Taken from Pleasantville Home

The following information is from the Pleasantville Police Department.

Four valuable items in a black jewelry box went missing from a Marble Avenue residence one week ago, according to records.

A man came into police headquarters on May 3 at 12:01 p.m. and stated that sometime within the last 48 hours, someone had entered his home and taken the items.

The pieces missing include: a $300 men's watch, an $8,500 1.54 karat diamond ring, a $300 gold chain with cross and $200 gold earrings.

Additionally, a "jug of change" containing approximately $400 was also reportedly missing from the home.

The total value of the items missing exceeds $10,000, according to police.

Detective Herb Peterson is investigating the alleged burglary.
