The convenience of a car key fob led to a mix up for two customers at on Sunday, reported.
The department received a call at 1:13 p.m. from a couple who reported their new car had been stolen from outside the Washington Avenue business.
After police responded to the scene, a man drove up in the "stolen" vehicle and told police a bizarre story.
He stated he had picked up a pizza earlier and drove home in what he believed was his car. It wasn't until he was inside that his wife looked outside and commented that it was the wrong vehicle.
Upon further inspection, they discovered the car had different colored seats, though their key fob worked in the vehicle.
They drove back to the pizzeria where the mix up was straightened out and both cars were returned to their rightful owners.
