attempted to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation on Route 9A near Chappaqua Road early this morning.
According to police, the vehicle failed to comply with the traffic stop and attempted to flee officers in the direction of Ossining at approximately 2:30 a.m.
The driver, a 32-year-old Croton man, got out of his car near the Stony Lodge Hospital property in Ossining and attempted to continue to flee police on foot.
After a foot pursuit, Village of Ossining police apprehended the man.
He was taken to Briarcliff Manor police headquarters and charged with multiple vehicle and traffic violations, as well as Unlawful Fleeing of a Police Officer.
The man was processed and later released on bail with a Briarcliff Manor court date.
