Westchester County Police issued a number of speeding tickets to motorcyclists and arrested one on Route 9A on Friday the 13th.

A county police officer on patrol on northbound Route 9A in the Town of Ossining near Cedar Lane reported that he saw a large group of motorcyclists traveling over 80 mph just after 11 p.m.

As the riders continued north, the officer contacted a county officer on patrol in Cortlandt to wait for the group at the traffic light at the Annsville Bridge and hold them there.

A 32-year-old man from Islip, NY was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Second Degree, a misdemeanor, after his license was found to be suspended.

He was booked at county police headquarters in Hawthorne and released on $150 bail and is due in Cortlandt Town Court on Oct. 31.

The motorcyclists ticketed for speeding are due in Ossining Town Court on Oct. 29.

Note: An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
