A 29-year-old woman was taken to the hospital this morning after her SUV rolled over in the rain on 9A.
Investigators say the unidentified woman was driving her Nissan Xterra SUV around a curve 1/4 mile south of Route 134 when she lost control. The SUV started to fishtail and then it flipped over multiple times, eventually ending up on its roof.
Westchester County Police say the woman got out of the SUV by herself. After first responders arrived to the scene they took the driver to the hospital.
"She was transported to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla where she is being treated for an injury to one of her feet," said Westchester County Police Spokesman Kieran O'Leary. "She was transported by Briarcliff ambulance."
The 8:30 a.m. rollover caused the right lane of 9A to be closed for a time. Westchester County Police are still investigating the accident.
