Why go: Head to the high school cafeteria Friday evening to enjoy a student-led concert that will benefit the Rockaway Rescue Alliance. There will be baked goods and drinks to enjoy during the concert.

Where/When: Pleasantville Fire Department on Sunday, Dec. 9 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Amici Cantanti Community Christmas Concert
Where/When: Parish of St. Theresa on Sunday, Dec. 9 from 4 to 5 p.m.
Why go: The Amici Cantanti Vocal Ensemble will be performing its "Let's Have an Old Fashioned Christmas" program at St. Theresa Church—featuring traditional holiday songs, carols and sacred music. The ensemble includes Briarcliff Manor resident Regina Leon, Donna Reid, James Higginbotham, Larry Long and Gary Norden.

Todd Staff Sandy Relief Tournament
Where/When: Todd Elementary School on Friday, Dec. 7 from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
Why go: The Todd Elementary staff will be taking part in a volleyball tournament to raise funds for Hurricane Sandy relief. There will be treats, raffle prizes and more. All children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Hanukkah Happening & Helping
Where/When: Rosenthal Jewish Community Center of Northern Westchester on Sunday, Dec. 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Why go: Kids ages 18 months through 10 years and their families can enjoy eight activities in celebration of the eight nights of Hanukkah. At 11 a.m., Jammin' to Calypso Conroy will perform Hanukkah tunes. There will also be a family Chanukiah lighting, gift factory and mitzvah projects to check out. Make your own delicious dreidels and purchase a falafel lunch before taking part in the Judah Maccabee Relay Races. Bring an unwrapped toy or donation to UJA-Federation of NY's Hurricane Relief Fund. Holiday Party at The Club at Briarcliff Manor
Where/When: The Club at Briarcliff Manor on Friday, Dec. 7 from 2 to 5 p.m.
Why go: The Club at Briarcliff Manor is hosting a holiday party for seniors interesting in learning more about the future development and its offerings. The Old Mill Singers of Westchester will kick off the celebration at 2 p.m. The model homes will be decked out for the holidays. Refreshments will be served.

All Saints Episcopal Church Tree/Wreath Sale
Where/When: All Saints' Episcopal Church on Friday, Dec. 7 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 9 from 12 to 6 p.m.
Why go: The Briarcliff Manor church is continuing its annual Christmas tree and wreath sale this weekend.

Interactive Wine & Food Pairing Event
Where/When: St. John's Episcopal Church on Friday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m.
Why go: Nick Antonaccio, co-host of the PCTV show Glass Up, Glass Down, will host a night of pairing appetizers and Italian wine tastings for the holidays. There will be holiday wine and gift baskets available for purchase. Hold your reservation by emailing pvillecsf@gmail.com. Proceeds will benefit the Community Scholarship Fund of Pleasantville.
