Briarcliff Manor is working to restore lighting issues resulting from the January 30 rain and wind storm that passed through the village.
While the village managed to avoid widespread damage during the storm, lights near the Scarborough Metro North station were "totaled," according to an update from Village Manager Philip Zegarelli.
"Replacement poles and lights have been delivered to our DPW," Zegarelli said in a Wednesday update. "These are to replace the two sets along Kemey’s Cove that were previously totaled. We are looking to replace them as soon as possible."
Zegarelli continued, "Due to the combinations of snow/rain/wind/melt-off, we believe that some moisture may have gotten into the poles and tripped the circuit breakers. We are trying to re-set or restore the lights as soon as possible."
