The and Westchester County District Attorney's Office are continuing to investigate , a bicyclist who was struck by a vehicle on July 8.
At the scene of the accident on Chappaqua Road in Briarcliff Manor, village resident Valerie Naber, 26, was arrested for allegedly driving an uninspected vehicle and with a suspended driver's license.
This week, Chief of Police Norman Campion said there were no updates in the investigation.
Naber appeared in village court today where her attorney Andrew Quinn entered a not guilty plea on her behalf.
Assistant District Attorney Adam Citron said he did not yet have an offer for Naber.
No additional charges have been filed in the case following Shakman's subsequent death overnight at Westchester Medical Center. Her family not perform an autopsy.
After a bench conference with Village Justice Fred Weinstein, all parties agreed to a September 12 adjournment in the case. Naber remains released on her own recognizance.
