Joe Carvin Backed by Mount Pleasant Republican Chair

The Republican U.S. Congress candidate is seeking to unseat Nita Lowey.

The following is a statement from Carvin for Congress:

Mount Pleasant Republican Chairwoman Nancy Meehan today endorsed Joe Carvin's candidacy for Congress in the 17th district (Westchester-Rockland).

"In this year's election, Westchester residents have an opportunity to elect a representative with a deep understanding of how to fix Washington and grow our economy," said Chairwoman Meehan. "Joe Carvin is a proven tax-cutter who can be trusted as a responsible steward of taxpayer's money. He will be a refreshing change from the career politicians that have driven jobs out of New York and given us unprecedented levels of debt.

"I'm honored and grateful to receive Chairwoman Meehan's enthusiastic support of my candidacy," said Mr. Carvin. "There are common-sense, pro-growth solutions to fix our economy, but we need the right leaders in Washington who have the courage put what's right before politics. I've governed that way with great success as Rye Supervisor and I intend to bring that same approach to Congress."
