Labor Day Openings/Closings

Pleasantville-Briarcliff Manor: If you're around over the weekend, here are some things to keep in mind.

While local municipal buildings, federal offices—including the Post Office—libraries and more will be shut down for Labor Day on Monday, not all Briarcliff Manor and Pleasantville businesses will be.

If you are sticking around for the long weekend () and are looking for some last minute ingredients for your end-of-season barbecue, here's what's open:

 (488 Bedford Rd., Pleasantville) — 24 hours

 (1886 Pleasantville Rd., Briarcliff Manor) — 7 a.m. to midnight

 (35 Pleasantville Rd., Pleasantville) — 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

 (97 N. State Rd., Briarcliff Manor) — 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

ShopRite (960 Broadway, Thornwood) — 6 a.m. to midnight

 (246 S. Highland Ave., Ossining) — 7 a.m. to midnight 

Also Open...

 (584 N. State Rd., Briarcliff Manor) — The Club will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a number of group classes for memers, being offered from 8:25 to 10:30 a.m.—ranging from TRX to spinning to boot camp. There will be no group swimming lessons (pool closes at 5 p.m.). Massage appointments are available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The nursery and energy center are open from 9 to 12 p.m.

 (364 Manville Rd., Pleasantville) — Check out one of four films on Monday. They include A Cat in Paris (12 p.m.), Searching for Sugar Man (12:05 p.m., 2:05 p.m., 4 p.m., 5:55 p.m. and 7:50 p.m.), Sleepwalk with Me (12:10 p.m., 2:10 p.m., 4:10 p.m., 6:10 p.m. and 8:10 p.m.) and Robot & Frank (1:45 p.m., 3:45 p.m., 5:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.). 

Weather Forecast

The National Weather Service calls for a mostly cloudy day Monday with a high near 77 degrees. At night, prep for possible showers (40 percent chance) and a low of 65 degrees.
