As we look ahead to November’s elections, Pleasantville-Briarcliff Manor Patch is devoted to bringing you the information you need about every race, issue and candidate in town.
Westchester County held its Board of Legislature elections last year, where Republican in District 3. Town of Ossining residents in District 9 , formerly the town supervisor.
and village elections are held annually in March. Read results from each by clicking the village name.
Here are some of this year's regional and national November elections that residents are already talking about:

Rep. Nita Lowey (D-Rockland/Westchester) is seeking re-election on the heels of her 19 years in the U.S. House of Representatives. In the past two years, Lowey has served the 18th district, a swath that come November. If elected, Lowey would then pick up Mount Kisco and all of Rockland County, and see the newly-crafted 17th District shift north. On June 26, Republican candidates Jim Russell of Hawthorne and Joe Carvin of Port Chester will face off in the GOP Primary to determine who will challenge Lowey in November.

The New York State Senate has also seen some lines redrawn this year, with both Town of Mount Pleasant and Town of Ossining residents taking on new representation. Sen. David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Orange) that crosses over the Hudson River. Former Village of Ossining Trustee Janis Castaldi and plans to challenge Carlucci in November.

Meanwhile, the Town of Mount Pleasant , currently represented by Senator Greg Ball (R,C - Patterson). Ball will be challenged by Democrat .

New York State Assembly's District 92 is currently held by Thomas Abinanti (D-92). He was first elected in 2010. His district represents towns of Greenburgh and Mount Pleasant, the villages of Ardsley, Elmsford, Dobbs Ferry, Hastings, Irvington, Tarrytown, Pleasantville and Sleepy Hollow, as well as parts of the Village of Briarcliff Manor and the City of Yonkers. Abinanti's has no official challengers at this time.

The New York State Assembly's new District 95 (currently District 90), which includes the Town of Ossining, is currently held by Sandra Galef (D-Ossining). Republican Kim Izzarelli, of Briarcliff Manor, challenge Galef.

U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), the state's junior senator, is seeking re-election in 2012. Three Republican candidates—Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos, current U.S. House of Representatives Republican Rep. Bob Turner and Wendy Long—will vie for votes in the June 26 GOP primary. Green Party Candidate Collila Clark and Independent Scott Noren also have announced their intent to appear on the November 6 ballot.

As the race for the White House heats up and commandeers headlines, Patch will focus on how the nation election affects local residents.
