Pleasantville Man Charged in Peekskill Burglary

The following information is from the Peekskill Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Peekskill homeowner noticed items had been disappearing from inside his home in the last several weeks, so he installed a video surveillance system, police said.

On Tuesday, April 24 at approximately 1 p.m., while the resident was monitoring the video, he saw an individual in his Fairlawn Avenue home. Police responded to his call and located 19-year-old Pleasantville resident Jordan Carty exiting from the back of the house. Police say he was in possession of a bag of jewelry that they later learned was stolen from inside.

Carty was charged with second-degree burglary, a felony offense and taken into custody without incident.
