Repaving Project at Memorial Plaza Lot

Pleasantville's main commuter lot will be closed beginning Thursday; farmers' market still on.

The Memorial Plaza parking lot in Pleasantville will close for one week, beginning at approximately 12 p.m. on Thursday for a repaving project, Village Clerk Judy Weintraub said in a memo today.

The commuter lot adjacent to the  is expected to reopen the morning of August 16.

The closing will not affect the , which runs on Saturdays in the lot between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

However, "Parking will be somewhat limited in the plaza on that day and we will direct all patrons to our Cooley Street parking lot behind the Post Office," Weintraub said.

Residents will Memorial Plaza parking lot permits will be able to park in the Cooley Street, Rebecca Lane and Hopper Street parking lots during the project.

"Temporary parking permits for those lots have been mailed directly to Plaza permit holders," Weintraub noted.
