The following is a press release from the Office of Senator Greg Ball:
Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) and his staff hosted a town hall and free BBQ in the hamlet of Thornwood on Thursday night, in an effort to meet constituents in the new parts of his district.
The meet and greet gave residents a chance to speak one-on-one with Senator Ball and partake in a question and answer session. The issues discussed, ranged from pension and tax reform, to veterans issues and job creation in the Hudson Valley.
“Meeting with constituents is the best part of my job! I look forward to representing the wonderful people I met here today and all of the residents in Mt. Pleasant and New Castle,” said Senator Ball. “From repealing the MTA Payroll Tax to capping Property Taxes we have accomplished many great things by working with Governor Cuomo, in a bipartisan and effective fashion. I’m totally focused on finishing the good things I have started and remaining focused to get New York State back on track!”
The new 40th senate district will pick up the towns Mount Pleasant and New Castle while losing Bedford, western Putnam County and much of Dutchess County. Click here to see a map of the new 40th senate district.
