Thursday: New York State Primaries

Only a handful of candidates in Westchester will face same-party opposition on Sept. 13.

Before lawmakers lose, win or keep their seats come November, candidates within the same party will battle it out at the polls for a chance to be their party's champion.

Primaries in New York State are slated for Thursday, Sept. 13, moved from Tuesday as to not overlap with the September 11 anniversary.

Note: Patch's guide takes into account redrawn district boundaries in Westchester, Putnam and Rockland counties.
