Intermarried? Join us this Sunday, Nov. 18

More and more Americans are "intermarried," even as the term means different things to different people. Americans are extraordinarily fluid in their religious identities. Indeed, The New York Times reported a few years ago that—according to Pew Research—an astounding 44 percent of Americans had switched from the religion of their birth. 

Not surprisingly, in such an open and exceedingly fluid environment, intermarriage is common today. Indeed in the Jewish community it is estimated that over half of all marriages taking place now are between Jews and folks who are not Jewish. How is the Jewish community responding? What is being done to ensure that synagogues are more consciously welcoming?

We’ll be looking at those questions and more at our first ever “Interfaith Forum” on Sunday, November 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Synagogue members and interested non-members are—without exception—welcome and warmly invited!
