BRIARCLIFF MANOR — The annual fall barbecue welcoming the entire student bodyback to Briarcliff High School is a longstanding tradition that Assistant Principal Debora French believes feeds more than healthy appetites for burgers.
“It’s a tradition that we’re proud of because it really brings all the students and teachers together,” Ms. French says. “It’s a wonderful way to start off the year.”
Organized by the student government, the barbecue may have gotten off to a rough start due to a faulty grill, but that didn’t deter students and staff from making the most ofthe warm, sunny day.
“We had to do some of the cooking inside at first,” Ms. French said, “but then the grill started working again.”
Festivities included food, fun and plentyof friends.
Members of the student government organized the barbecue.
