The following is from the Pleasantville Union Free School District:
The Bedford Road School Student Council collected 483 new pairs of pajamas and 539 new books for The Pajama Program's Stuff A Bus initiative.
The Pajama Program is a non-profit organization that collects new pajamas and books for children in need, with special attention this year to families affected by Hurricane Sandy.
On November 15, the entire school population dressed in pajamas and assembled on the playground to greet the Pajama Bus.
Students chanted "stuff that bus" and cheered as the Student Council members brought sacks filled with pajamas and a handcart filled with boxes of books to the bus.
