Community Recognizes Briarcliff Board of Education

Briarcliff Manor organizations and residents thanked board members for their service.

From the Briarcliff Manor Education Foundation:

The BMEF, BPTA and Friends of the Performing Arts all honored the members of our school board with sincere speeches and small tokens of appreciation. Of particular note is how the strength of our community was illustrated by how all of these organizations came together to thank the members of our school board.

Approximately 35 community members, students, teachers and administrators attended the ceremony.

Mary Beth Craven, head of the Briarcliff Teachers Association, also spoke.

The BMEF gave each member a certificate of appreciation and a small bag of Hershey's Kisses—the same gift that teachers will receive when families make a donation to the BMEF's Teacher's Institute in their honor as a holiday or end of the year appreciation.

Barbara Hooper, co-chair of the BPTA spoke and emceed the evening. Two students, Kieran Roth and Jillian Agona, spoke for the Friends.
