Dementia Care Workshop

Dementia is an extremely complicated disorder. People living with dementia require highly skilled care. Family members helping to care for loved ones with dementia should not have to learn these skills through trial and error. This workshop will introduce the basics of dementia care and communication, with significant time dedicated to answering the questions of attendees. A short list of highly recommended informational books and websites will be provided. The workshop will be led by Daniel Kaplan, a gerontological clinical social worker with expertise in Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, as well as clinical practice in geriatric mental health.

Registration is required. Contact Shelley Glick at 941-7072 or sglick@wlsmail.org.
