Two finalists from among the 145 applicants for the post of Pleasantville High School principal will be interviewed by the Board of Education and administrative team, according to this week's Pleasantville school district newsletter.
The two finalists were chosen after the High School Principal Search Committee identified and interviewed eleven candidates from the 145 applications received and did second interviews with six.
Next up for the finalists are interviews with the administrative team and the Board of Education, the newsletter said.
In fact, there is a Board of Education meeting scheduled for 7:30 a.m. today, April 9, in the district office.
According to the district website, "it is anticipated that a motion to adjourn to executive session to discuss matters leading to the appointment of a particular person (High School principal) will be made immediately after the opening of the meeting. The Board will not be taking any action at this meeting."
