Pleasantville School Board Names 2012-13 Officers
Lois Winkler and Shane McGaffey will serve as the district's school board officers for 2012-13.
Lois Winkler was unanimously chosen to serve a second consecutive term as school board president by her fellow board members during the annual July organizational meeting.
Winkler is in her fifth term on the board.
Shane McGaffey, a one-term member in his third year on the board, will serve as vice president for next year.

Also during the organiational meeting, Lawrence Boes and Emily Rubin Persons took their oaths of office.
Louis Conte, who was elected last year, is the fifth board member.

McGaffey nominated Winkler for the position of president, a motion seconded by Conte. She was chosen unanimously for the position and was sworn in by District Clerk Irene Powers.
Conte nominated and Winkler seconded McGaffey as a candidate for vice president. He was voted vice president in another unanimous vote.
The Board of Education will meet next on Tuesday, Aug. 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Library Media Center.
