From Pleasantville Superintendent Mary Fox-Alter:
After consulting with our local police, village officials and area superintendents, I have decided to close schools tomorrow, October 31. Safety is our first concern. There are a number of roads in the village and in the Town of Mt. Pleasant that are closed and have downed “live” power lines. Con Edison cannot guarantee that all down power lines will be de-energized by tomorrow. IF conditions improve and I am able to open schools on Thursday, we will have a 2 hour delay. Stay safe! Mary
