Well done to the winners. And congratulations to Greg Dow for a fantastic showing, with little name recognition, to start off a campaign from scratch that built momentum around areas of concern to many residents. 50 plus 1 would have done it - close indeed.

Congratulations to Jennifer Rosen. The community made the right choice by recognizing her hard work and devotion to the school while demonstrating fiscal prudence. Her win shows that going negative, distorting facts and casting doubt on every BOE decision serves no purpose; people see through it and it does a disservice to our community.

Congratulations to both candidates. The election was close, which indicates that there are almost as many people in the community that would have wanted a different outcome and heard Greg Dow's message. I am hopeful that the members of the BOE, going forward, take into consideration the message that this large minority sent. The district needs to be as fiscally responsible and transparent as possible. Many members of the community want the budget to reflect the declining enrollment and work towards a goal of a per pupil expenditure comparable to similar districts.
