"Thanks to our explosive offense and aggressive defense, we were able to dominate all season long. We all played with heart and determination and everyone contributed at some point during the season in a key situation, said  Will Kops, one of the team's co-captains and member of the IT department. "We look forward to another winning season next year!"

The non-profit agency has served people who have disabilities for 61 years.

The statement says this year, the Arc of Westchester Softball team raised more than $8,000 for OVATIONS, which is seeking a cure for ovarian cancer. The funds were raised at a benefit game held for Arc of Westchester’s former Chief Information Officer, Lisa Novielli, who succumbed to the disease 2011.

In 2010, the team raised more than $5,000 through benefit games for the Miracle League of Westchester.
