Briarcliff Baseball Continues Streak

Briarcliff High School's baseball team continued its winning streak at SUNY New Paltz on Monday, winning the Class B regional semifinal, according to MSG Varsity.

The Bears beat out Spackenkill, 5-2.

"The job's not done yet," John Fussell told MSG Varsity, referring to today's game.

Fall Sports

With the spring sports season winding down, actually over for most except those in state competition, it's never too early to look ahead to next school year's starting practice dates for the fall season.

Varsity and JV football will begin practicing on Aug. 17, all other varsity and JV sports will start Aug. 20 and modified sports will begin Sept. 5 according to the  website.


Little League

Manor Valet is scheduled to play Hook & Ladder tonight at 5:45 p.m. at Ryder Park according to the website of the Briarcliff Little League.


Golf

The below was a press release courtesy of the 9th Annual Phelps Golf Classic:

The 9th Annual Phelps Golf Classic will be held Monday, June 11 at Sleepy Hollow Country Club on Route 9 in Scarborough, one of the most picturesque country clubs in America.

The cost per golfer is $800, which includes green fees and cart, buffet lunch, refreshments, cocktail and buffet reception, gifts and prizes. All players may invite one guest to the evening buffet reception. Proceeds from the event will be dedicated to facility improvements at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center that will enhance patient comfort and care.

Registration begins at 11 am, followed by lunch, with a shotgun golf start at 1 pm. Cocktail reception and buffet open at 5:30 pm. Prizes to be awarded include luxury autos for hole-in-one winners and a $50,000 Jet Blue Shoot-Out Challenge.
