Baseball Shuts Outs Adelphi on Tamburino Two-Hitter

Michael Tamburino (Baldwin, NY/Holy Trinity) tossed a two-hit complete game shutout as the Setters downed the Panthers of Adelphi University 8-0.
Joe Lombardi (Briarcliff, NY/Briarcliff) went 3-for-4, scored three runs and tallied two RBI’s for the Setters while Chris Roemer (Ardsley, NY/Ardsley) and Kyle Turnier (Waterford, CT/Waterford) both had two hits and two RBI’s apiece.

Softball Drops Doubleheader to Assumption
The Setters dropped a Northeast-10 Conference twin bill to the Greyhounds of Assumption College, losing 3-1 and 12-9 in the nightcap. Pace falls to 20-8 overall and 8-6 in the NE-10. Natalie Gellos (Seattle, WA/Holy Names Academy) hit a solo homerun in game one, while Lana Buchbinder (San Francisco, CA/George Washington)she drove in three runs in the second game with a double in the third inning. The Setters travel to UMass Lowell for a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader on Friday, April 6 at 2 pm.
Men’s Golf Finishes Tied for Sixth at Peter King Memorial
The Pace University Golf team had a strong performance as they finished tied for sixth place at Dowling College’s Peter King Memorial Tournament with a two round total of 624 (319-305). The Setters were led by Rob Sorrentino (Tarrytown, NY/Archbishop Stepinac) who finished tied for seventh place with a two round score of 150 (79-71). The Setters return to action for Le Moyne College’s Empire State Challenge to be held at Timber Banks Golf Club on Tuesday, April 10.
