Bombs Away: Thornwood's Will Carter Excels

Will Carter of Thornwood is making a splash on the Ithaca College football team.

Senior linebacker Will Carter of Thornwood led a strong defensive effort with 13 tackles, one less than his career high, as the Ithaca College football team opened Empire 8 play with a 40-21 rout of host Frostburg (MD) State.

The Bombers, 3-0 overall, welcome Utica College (2-1) to Butterfield Stadium at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Carter, an alum of Westlake HS, had seven solo stops in the victory. His career total of 156 leaves him 44 shy of becoming the 29th Bomber to reach 200.
