Briarcliff's The Club Field Undergoing Seeding

Fall athletic teams will still have access to the two practice fields on site.

The "extreme heat of July" delayed the planned seeding and grooming work at The Club at Briarcliff Manor's athletic field, according to Village Manager Philip Zegarelli.

"In order to stabilize the field and rejuvenate the compressed and worn surfaces, we are having the sterile sand/gravel soil removed; tilling the sub-base; bringing in new top soil; and, sodding limited areas, he explained in his latest report. "The center section of the field will be furloughed until further notice."

But fall teams will still be able to utilize the grounds, he said, "...with our previous extended work, we created 2 practice fields: one to the left and right of the area under reconstruction so that Fall season teams can practice locally."
