The Pace University baseball team, ranked #7 in the first NCAA East Region poll, defeated the Chargers of New Haven 3-2 in Northeast-10 Southwest Division action. The Setters improve to 24-16 overall, 14-8 in the NE-10 and remain atop the Southwest Division with a 12-2 record. The Setters got all their runs in the fifth as James Pjura (Shelton, CT/Shelton) drove in two runs with a double in the inning.

Matt Mirabito (Binghamton, NY/Broome CC) finished with five points as the Setters dropped a heartbreaker 8-7 loss to the Mavericks of Mercy College in non-conference action. The Setters fall to 5-9 on the season. In net, Kevin Grady (Medford, NY/Bellport) recorded 18 saves in 60 minutes of action in goal for the Setters. Pace returns to action on Saturday, April 28 when the Setters will travel to Rindge, NH for a Northeast-10 Conference game against Franklin Pierce University at 1 pm for their final game of the season.
