Boys youth hoops
Pleasantville defeated Briarcliff 27-18 in the boys fifth grade A division of the Tri-County Basketball League Dec. 9.

Ferro Named to NSCAA Third Team All-East Region

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y.- Freshman forward Jillian Ferro (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) was honored on the Third Team All-East Region squad by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Ferro had a record-breaking season for the Pace women’s soccer team in 2011.
In her rookie season, Ferro led the Setters in points and goals on the season finishing with 20 and eight respectively. She finished eighth overall in points and seventh in goals, while tying for third in conference-only goals and placing third in points. Ferro also set the Pace freshman season marks of points and goals in a season, while tying the overall single season mark for game-winning goals with three.
The Setters had a successful season on the field as they returned to the NE-10 playoffs for the first time since 2004. Pace finished in seventh place with an NE-10 record of 7-6-1, while posting wins over regional powers Franklin Pierce, Adelphi and UMass Lowell, while tying another ranked team in Southern Connecticut State.
